I am new to Wordpress. As this while I was blogging using Blogger. However, after switching from Blogger to Wordpress, I am amazed with all the free Wordpress themes and plugins available out there. There are endless choices of themes and plugins to choose from. For Google AdSense Wordpress plugin, it is highly recommended by Wordpress users to use Adsense-Deluxe Plugin.

AdSense-Deluxe V0.7 includes support for WordPress 2.0’s (WYSIWYG) Rich Editor as well as with updated documentation and help text. One of the strong point for AdSense Deluxe plugin that it works well for Yahoo!’s Publisher Network too. AdSense-Deluxe is a plugin for WordPress (1.5 or later) which greatly simplies the addition of Google or Yahoo! ads to your WordPress blogs, allowing for use of multiple ad styles and controlling when and where ads are displayed.

The installation is fairly easy, in fact, easier than previous adsense plugin. Just make a copy of the “adsense-deluxe.php” file into your WordPress plugin and activate it. Then, goto Options -> Adsense to add your Google Adsense codes.

Once inside the AdSense option page, there are fairly amount of control available for your general preference setting. However, the most important portion of the setting is the “New AdSense Block” portion. These are important stuff that you need to enter :

1. Fill in a name for your AdSense block eg. square
2. Copy and paste the adsense code into “AdSense Code“
3. Fill in the description for the ads block in “Description” box.
4. Click “Add Adsense Block” button and you are done. You will see the newly added adsense block listed in “AdSense Blocks“, the default block will be highlighed with green color.

To add the default ad block, you add this tag : <!–adsense#square–> (to add a adsense block named “square”). Or, you can refer to the “AdSense Blocks” list in “Adsense Option” for the tag code.

Once you published your posting, you can see your Google AdSense ad embedded. That;s your first step of earning your millions dollar of income from Google or Yahoo!
