I guess if you are an Internet user, it is quite impossible that you never heard of YouTube. YouTube, videos sharing site is one of the most famous site now. On an average, YouTube serves 100 millions streams per day to worldwide users. Videos available in YouTube ranging from home made videos, videocasts, short movies and many more. Most of the videos are streamed from YouTube websites. However, there are other interesting stuff that you can do with YouTube videos. Here’re my compilation of 10 interesting things you can do with YouTube videos.

1. Download YouTube videos. Sometimes you prefer to download the videos and play it whenever you want. You can download YouTube videos using service provided by KeepVid or Firefox add-ons, VideoDownloader. (Check out this blog to find 23 other ways to download YouTube videos). Most of the time, videos downloaded are in the flash video (flv) format. You can watch flv videos using flv player or GOM player. I recommend GOM player as it provides more features.


2. Convert Your Downloaded Videos. One of the tool available is TubeSock (only available for MAC users). TubeSock grabs YouTube videos from the web and copies them to your video iPod, Mac, or PlayStation Portable. TubeSock knows how to convert the video using the codecs and bitrates best for each device. It can even add the video to iTunes for you. TubeSock can also grab just the audio portion of a video and add it to iTunes, too.If you’re not a MAC user, you can convert your downloaded flv vidoes online by using Zamzar. It’s a free online service that will convert video, audio, and documents. You upload the file, enter your email address, and Zamzar will send you a note when your new file is ready for download.
3. Add Text Bubbles To Videos BubblePLY provides an easy tool for adding text or link comic-book style bubbles to videos from popular video sharing sites. 4. Watch deleted YouTube videos. It is however possible to watch deleted videos on Youtube as Youtube may maintain a copy of raw video on their servers even when the video has been taken off the main website. To retrieve this “deleted video”, just supply the Youtube video id (available in the video URL) to Youtube Infamousx, and this service may retrieve the deleted video from Youtube for you.

   

5. Add a soundtrack to your YouTube videos. YouTube allows users to add a music soundtrack to their videos after they’ve been uploaded to YouTube using AudioSwap. After you publish a video, click on the Replace Audio button on your My Videos page. From there it’s a simple 2-step process of picking the song you like from YouTube’s offerings (no worries about copyright infringement here), previewing it with your video, and publishing away.

7. Search inside YouTube videos. PodZinger, the site that enables keyword searches within audio and video podcasts, now lets you search inside YouTube videos as well. When PodZinger finds relevant results inside the audio of a video, it lists them out at the exact times they occur.Qoogle Video is another interesting way to search YouTube. Qooqle Video offers an improved video search for clips that is built with an Ajax front-end.
8. Pick, tag and save the favorite stuff from YouTube videos. Scenemaker, which lets you bookmark, tag and share individual scenes within videos. Just paste a YouTube URL into Scenemaker (or install the browser toolbar for one-click Scenemaking), then select start and stopping points. You can then apply your own tags (which Scenemaker refers to as “deep tags”), share the scene with friends, and embed the newly fragmented clip in your blog or site.
