Radar : It’s Twitter for Photos and Videos

Hi!, If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or sign up for free email updates.. Thanks for visiting!

Radar.netWith the Internet, social networking is much easier than before. Services like Twitter or Jaiku allow users to send updates via SMS, instant messaging, on the website, or an through third party applications. However, both Jaiku and Twitter are limited to text-based updates. With Radar, it’s possible to update your friends and contacts instantly via cameraphone or Internet in the forms of pictures and videos. Nowadays, almost everyone possesses a cameraphone. You can post pictures or videos from your cameraphone to Radar and invite your friends to view and comment on them.

To post pictures and videos to Radar is fairly simple. Upon registration, user is given a designated email address. You can also post pictures and videos from your cameraphone or computer by emailing them to the same email address. You can also receive immediate notifications through your web messenger when your friends post new pictures, videos or comments. However, currently it is only limited to AIM users.

Another setback for Radar is that they’re still working on providing RSS feeds, both for viewing content outside of Radar (i.e. privately) and for displaying Radar content on public-facing sites.

So are you ready to snap photos of your daily life?

P/S : You can add me as your contact in Twitter, Jaiku or Radar. My username is kuanhoong. :-)
