Technorati is a search engine specificially designed for blog searching. It is a well known web site that is very highly regarded by the blogging community because of its early focus on the blogging phenomena. As of April 2007, Technorati indexes over 75 million weblogs all over the world.
Technorati has done an enormous amount of work in supporting the early blogging communities, and it has been a strong evangelist for bloggers everywhere through its promotion of blogs and bloggers. And through its close watch on blogs, it has helped the blogging community understand itself, and how it is evolving. With Technorati, the world of weblogs are easily accessible, searchable, and fun for everyone to explore. So what are the ways to make money with Technorati?
I believe all bloggers should fully utilize the services offered by Technorati and maximize your incoming traffics. Basically to achieve success in making money online, one just needs to be skilled at selecting the right monetization method and knowledgeable about the different tactics you can use to market your product or business. You ultimate goal is to make money through contextual advertisements e.g., AdSense and other advertising by driving Technorati traffic to your site.
Just to point out that maybe some of the methods presented here are not suitable for you or to your preference. However, it is best for you to know them, and maybe you can tweak it in accordance to your liking.
Here’s my compilation of 10 ways to make money from Technorati. :
1.Boosting Your Blogs. The first step that every blogger should do it Claim your blog, write a brief description, add some topical Tags, and a photo. Once this is completed. Your blog will then be added to the ranks of Technorati, popping up whenever someone searches for the terms of your Tags. You should tag your blog with unique tags in order to make it stands out from millions of blogs out there.
2. Tag your post. The Post Tag is used to describe the topics covered in individual items and is associated to the item either via Tag Code or Category Code. With post tag, it is much easier for search for your postings in Technorati. If you are a Wordpress user, check out the list of plugins available for post tag.
3. Ping Technorati. Once you published a new posting, you want to disseminate your blog post electronically to the whole world. The quicker you spread the news, the better. There are many publishing tools ping Technorati directly or allow for custom pings. You can also use public ping services like pingoat or ping-o-matic.
4. Submit blog to WTF. Technorati added a new feature called WTF (short for “What the F**k,” though Technorati claims it means “Where’s the Fire”). Basically, Where’s the Fire appears to be a Digg clone. It allows users to share what’s hot. Then visitors can come a long and vote for the most interesting items.
5. Always aim for the sky!. Daily million of users search weblogs using Technorati. Similar to Google Trend, Technorati lists out Top 15 keywords / tags searches for the day. This present a good opportunity to ride the wave. Pick up a topic related to the Top 15 keywords / tags and write something related to it. Tag your posting with the top tags of the day. And if you have the time, write a new related post every hour. For sure your posting will be listed among the Top 15 keywords / tags searches.

6. Power in Linking. Technorati have made some new changes to their website inserting a new ‘Authority’ rank which now determines a blog’s position within its Most Linked-to ranking system. According to Dorion Carroll from Technorati, the Technorati Authority is the number of blogs (not number of links) linking to a website in the last 6 months. The higher the number, the more Technorati Authority the blog has. Check out Technorati’s blog on how Technorati Authority and Rank works.

7. Add Technorati Favorite button onto your blog. Technorati has long had a “favorite blog” feature where users can mark their favorite blogs and be able to browse recent entries from their favorites. They also have a Technorati Top 100 Most Favorited Blogs which gets a lot less attention then the Technorati Rank. No doubt, by getting in the Top 100 provides social proof of your blog’s popularity. This will expand your blog readership and increase the attractiveness of your site in the eyes of advertisers.
8. Be the Top Commentator. If you’re a top commentator on a Wordpress blog, you are getting one Technorati Authority for your blog for free. As we know, Technorati Authority is the number of blogs linking to a website in the last six months. The higher the number, the more Technorati Authority the blog has. This is a great way to build up more Technorati Authority for your blog while meeting more new bloggers out there. I have no idea whether this works for other blogs, but please give it a try, and tell me the result, ya.
9. Content is KING.Ultimately, readers are attracted to your blog because you are providing good content. If they like your blog, naturally there will be a rise for your Technorati Authority and Rank.
10. Link to kuanhoong dot com. Lastly but not least, create a link to this posting in your blog.

Jonathan, You’re welcome
Nice post! I have added you to my Favorites.
Nirmal, Thanks for adding to your favorite.
Thank you for your comments. I know how you feel, a lot of affiliate networks out there have the same features and tend to look the same. Since we are a decently new affiliate network, we will look and feel the same, but we hope in the future to be able to change that around and have a whole different feel to the network than any other network.
