5 things to do when you have writer’s block

writer’s block

Writer’s block is the worst thing that can happen to a blogger. It is hard when we feel inhibited and total drained of ideas. It can happen to anyone and especially if we are under tremendous stress. In the world of professional blogging, we need to post at least one posting per day to keep our blog alive and maintain our creativity flow. Here are the five things that you can do when you have writer’s block…

1. Take A Break. Hey, everyone needs a break. Normally, when I have writer's block, I will check out my friend's blog, or explore some new blogs out there by using StumbleUpon. Use this break time to relax and recharge yourself. You can also use this time to check out comments in your blog. It is also fun to check out your members in your mybloglog community. (You can check out my mybloglog community too :-) )

2. Optimize Your Blog. If your blog is not optimized for search engine, it is time to do some housekeeping before the next round of search engines update. Organize all your posting and pages into relevant categories. Tag all your images with proper alt-tag and label. Check out my posting on "10 Simple Tips to increase traffic from Search Engines to Your Blog".

3. Feeds. Check out your feeds when you have the time. As a blogger, it is important to keep yourself abreast with the latest happening around the world. This is one of my problem too as I subscribed almost near to 100++ feeds in my Google Reader. Sometimes I really don't have the time to read all of them. A free time from blogging is a good time to catch up with all my feeds.

4. Check your Earnings. For those that are easily amused, it is fun to see those pennies that you earned from AdSense or other affiliate marketing programs. I always dream of making millions online one day. :-)

5. Write a blog about writer's block. Haha, this is what I am doing now. Enjoy!

Haha…I do not think I will run out of ideas so soon. One thing I’m darn sure, I might not have time to write all to things in my brains. Even though you might be well paid by those marketing companies, I’m not. ]

Somehow as a newbie (18 days old), I’m still blur about how these things work. If only I can someone to give me hands on now so that I can earn some money through the proper ways. Reading and surfing the net won’t help me now, as all those texts are killing my eyes and I get real tired by the end of the day.

Anyone from Penang that can show me how to maximize my blog?

Haha.. Good to know that :-)
