Bloggerwave is a scam?

Bloggerwave
Update (1st June 2006) : I received my payment from Bloggerwave.

Initially I was quite excited about Bloggerwave, as I thought finally there is a competitor to PayPerPost that allows bloggers to write sponsored posts and earn some pocket money. (Please refer to my previous Bloggerwave post). However, after my posting was accepted, there was no news at all from Bloggerwave, and things start to become quite suspicious. There are even news all over the blogsphere stating how their payments have been held back by Paypal for an inquiry and the possibility of Bloggerwave being a scam. So the question is whether Bloggerwave is another scam on bloggers?.

When Bloggerwave was first introduced, I was surprised to find out that their website presentation is very much similar to PayPerPost. In fact it is a completely rip-off of PayPerPost website. I did some researches on the Internet and I found out that according to Ted Murphy, CEO of Payperpost, Ted stated definitively that Bloggerwave was not associated with Payperpost and that his representatives were researching whether there was legal cause to pursue Bloggerwave for unauthorized use of their materials.

To get my facts straight, I wrote an email to the Ulrik Thomsen, CEO of Bloggerwave to enquire about the status of Bloggerwave and date of payment for my postings. Attached is the reply I got from him:

(dated : May, 29th 2007)
Hi Kuan Hoong,

Thanks for your reply and thanks for supporting us. We are for sure not a scam and are just experiencing startup problems. We didn’t expect to get so many problems with paypal, but this is solved now and we are paying all our bloggers during this week.

We thank you guys to support us here in the beginning where we are in a learning process and really appreciate the feedback we get from you guys.

Hope that you continue to support our site.

Ulrik Thomsen
CEO (ust@bloggerwave.com)

OK, While I am still waiting for my payments from Bloggerwave, I will just keep my fingers crossed and wait to determine whether Bloggerwave is a scam or another genuine “make money online” for bloggers.

Hopefully it is not a scam as I’ve wrote some posts for bloggerwave too. Perhaps later they will pay us accordingly as blogging isn’t an easy work!

Haha, yeah I hope so too

Your Bloggerwave article is very informative. I came across your site while searching Bloggerwave on the internet. I am considering writing a post for them on my blog also. Great site.

Hi Carla,
Thanks for dropping by.
I would like to clarify that I received my payment from Bloggerwave a few weeks ago. So be rest assured that they are a viable business site.

I think my last comment got caught by your askimet. Try and have a look. If it’s worth it, you can publish it. If not, forget about it.

Interesting. I just made my first post and got approved. I was wondering why there were no other ‘jobs’ available on bloggerwave - now I see the problems many of you are having are much worse. Thanks for the info.

Bloggerwave is not a scam. At first I though it was a scam as they had not paid me after the 30 days, but then they paid me after that.
