My Dinner

My dinner

I know this might look abit too much. But normally I only have two meals per day. Got to save money!. Everything is so expensive in Japan.

If you are interested to know, that dinner cost me 580 yen. (How much is that in Malaysian Ringgit or US Dollar?, Calculate the exchange rate yourself :P )

Hey…RM16 for all that in Japan is cheap. The last time I heard was that a plain bowl of white rice cost RM8? How true is it?

Yup, it is cheap because that is what I can afford. :-)

Criz, that is true. Some places, a plain bowl of rice will cost you more than RM10.

hey, is everything in japan really expensive? i wanted to go to japan for a holiday, but not confirmed yet.

Yes, everything is expensive in Japan. Just imagine everything is 3 times the actual price in Malaysia. Eg. One meal might cost RM3-4, then it will cost you RM15 in Japan.

Dear Kuan,

This is my first comment I ever wrote for anyone…

As I was looking for the first Twitter comment of Jaiku news through Twitter 日本語で検索, I found your twitter. .

My husband and I moved to Nagoya about 6 months ago where and I’d would like to share my little secret place I found by accident.

There is a Grocery store in Osu called “SANOYA” which is well known among Japanese in Nagoya. And this store carries one of the cheapest 250 yen BENTO I ever found in Japan!

If you make a salad as a side dish, it can be a well-balanced meal as well. Hope that this may give you an option for dinner.

Hi Fumiko,

Thanks for the info. Yup, I do know about Sanoya in Osu. Unfortunately it is abit too far for me to buy bento there :-)

I can find cheap bento at Gokiso too. It is around 200 yen.

Hope to see you more in my blog.
