Brand your face

Happy Face

I was chatting with someone over MSN messenger the other day, and this person was commenting to me on why I am using the same photo for all my avatars on almost all online service e.g., MyBlogLog, Flickr, Facebook, MySpace, Twitter etc. My answer is simple. Your face is your best brand. :-) Nothing is more impressive than your face. Seriously.

Unfortunately there are many users out there that do not use good thumbnail photo as their avatar. In order for your face to have a greater impact (Remember it is impact and not shocking :P ), here are some of the basic steps that you can take:

  • Use a clear shot photo. Do not use photo that is blurry or shaky.
  • Use a proper zoom photo. Do not use photo where you are sitting under a tree, where the only recognizable feature is the tree and not you.
  • Use a photo that is shot under proper lighting.
  • Remember to smile. Everyone loves a happy face. :-)

So have fun modifying your photo. Hope to see your pretty face soon. :-)

I think your avatar is special in that it’s rotated 45 degrees anti-clockwise ;o)

Haha, you are supposed to rotate your head 45-degree to see my avatar :)

Well, I have to agree on this. :) brand it properly.

but one of the tips, the tree thing.. probably, the owner wants u to concentrate on the tree not him/her :)
LOL.

Haha, then better just put the tree instead of your face :P

Indeed, this is the best policy to have some smiling face and put it on all the places, not only this gives “that” personal touch but it helps in branding too (as you mentioned in your post)

Thanks for dropping by :-)

aha… better the tree than your face statement, is kind of prejudging, don’t u think ;)
maybe he likes that way… up to them to brand their apperance to the world.
probably he/she got some connection with the tree while in the same time, want to make it an impact by showing a bit their faces… hahhaha.
great discussion. :D

Haha, but the post is about “Brand Your Face” :P
Unless you want to make a statement that your face is like a tree..
