feedburner

Google is famous for offering FREE applications to its users. Applications like GMail, Google Earth, Google Reader, Google Calendar, and the latest addition to the list of FREE application is the advanced feature of FeedBurner. As we all know, last month FeedBurner was officially acquired by Google. FeedBurner is the leading provider of media distribution and audience engagement services for blogs and RSS feeds. FeedBurner is a Web-based tools that help bloggers, podcasters and commercial publishers promote, deliver and profit from their content on the Web.

One of the paid service for FeedBurner is the advanced feature called FeedBurner Pro. Now you can use the advanced features of FeedBurner for free. With FeedBurner Pro, you can track the unique number of people who view or click your feed posts and stats for individual posts. To activate this service, Just go to “FeedBurner stats” and enable the features that used to be inaccessible.

By default, FeedBurner already enabled the reach metrics for everyone. “Reach is the total number of people who have taken action – viewed or clicked – on the content in your feed.

Besides FeedBurner Pro, MyBrand is also free. MyBrand lets you point your domain at FeedBurner, so the feed and all related resources (stats tracking, ads, stylesheets, etc) are located at your domain instead of ours. It’s the ultimate in feed-serving transparency. It’s also free. (This service used to cost upwards of $3)

This is great news! That’s good about a company that huge. They can afford to provide users a lot of stuff for free!!!

That is the reason why Google is so successful at the moment. :-)
