Roughly two months ago, MediaWhiz (the owners of Text Link Ads) have today launched a new ad service - ShoppingAds (aff). ShoppingAds is a hybrid product that serves both CPA (cost per action) ads provided by eBay and CPC (cost per click) ads provided by our shopping comparison engine partners. However, there is much confusion regarding the difference between AuctionAds (aff) and ShoppingAds. Thus, it is a logical move to merge both AuctionAds and ShoppingAds into one as ShoppingAds.
The good thing is AuctionAds user can still login using the existing account and there is no need to change any existing code or links. For the existing AuctionAds users the only change you will see is the “Ads By AuctionAds” displayed on your ads will change to “Ads By ShoppingAds”. The other significant change is the ability for you to become a Premium Publisher. By becoming a premium publisher you will have the opportunity to be paid on a CPC (cost per click) basis for all your US and Canadian traffic while you can monetize your international traffic on a CPA (cost per action) basis. Standard publisher’s traffic will be monetized 100% on a CPA basis. Your account will be reviewed for Premium Status in the coming days and you will be notified if you qualify.
So far, I don’t find ShoppingAds and AuctionAds work for this blog. How about you?. You have any luck with either ShoppingAds or AuctionAds?.
I too didnt have any luck with either of them, not only that they had some severe problems with display of ads and spammers. Many times the ad slot was blank on my blog, so I decided to remove them.

Yeah, it didnt perform well for me too. Maybe it is more suitable for products related blog.
If you’re already a ShoppingAds user, or considering becoming one, you should check out emptyspaceads (a product I left my full-time job at Microsoft to build), which allows you to put ShoppingAds units in your website’s empty space. After all, when was the last time you made any money from your site’s empty space? Better yet, you don’t have to give up any existing ad units to run emptyspaceads. Keep what works!
