There is another update from Google AdSense. In the past, AdSense would ask you to verify your information when your earnings reached $50 by sending you a postcard with your Personal Identification Number (PIN). This allows AdSense to conduct a simple verification that is required in order to ensure the security and accuracy of your information so you can receive payments from AdSense.

However, AdSense has lowered the minimum earnings to $10. In another words, now it is possible for publishers to receive their PINs earlier instead of waiting for ages for their earnings to reach $50. For more information about these holds, visit the links in the ‘Required Actions’ box on your Payment History page.

I guess probably there are too many AdSense publishers out there that have not reached the threshold earnings of $50. Thus, this is a good time for AdSense to ask AdSense publishers to update their records. For more information of PIN, check out this help page.

giving pin number at $10 or $50 wont make much difference as the minimum payout is still $100. I think adsense should try to go paypal for accounts outside US . Now when they have reduced minimum amount for pin , I think they should give more flexibility in minimum payout and payment options :)

I agree with Kanak too. Flexibility in minimum payout and payment options is much more important than just reducing minimum amount for PIN. But anyway, let see the positive side. The security level is increase now.
