Twinkle - the native iPhone Twitter client with Locate Me features that allow you to see who is tweeting near you - has come out of private beta and is available on Installer now. With Twinkle, you will get the combination of two great features - microblogging and geo-location. While currently there are not many Twinkle users, it will be a lot more fun when more people are on Twinkle.

The Locate Me feature can easily be toggled On and Off.  If you choose to use it then you can use the ‘Near Me’ tab to see tweets from folks who are within X miles of your location.  The default is a 50-mile distance, and you can choose to change this to 1, 2, 10, 25, 100, 1,000, or 252,000.

You’ll need to have the Polar Bear Farm source added in Installer in order to see Twinkle.  That source is:
