Hi!, If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or sign up for free email updates.. Thanks for visiting!
Dropbox is a webservice that allows you to store and share your files online easily. Dropbox works just like any other folder on your computer, but with a few differences. With Dropbox, you can drag and drop to move files around, just like you normally would. Any files or folders inside Dropbox will get synchronized to Dropbox’s servers and any other computer linked to your account.
You also can use Dropbox to automatically backup a subset of your files, and to access them when traveling. You can also use the service to easily share files with friends and coworkers. Just right click on a folder and select “Share”. You’ll be taken to a webpage where you can enter the email addresses of who you want to share the folder with. When your friends add files to that shared folder, they will automatically get downloaded to your machine in addition to getting backed up online.
On September 11th, 2008, Dropbox was opened to the public. Now you can store and share your files without the requirement of beta code.
