iStellar is a mobile planetarium app for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Based on the time and location setting input by the user, iStellar able to display the stars on the night sky for the given location. Information obtained through the GPS function, iStellar will chart the location of stars and will rotate according to the position detected by the position sensor.
Functions
- Able to set the time and place to view stars and constellations
- Animated display (display according to the current time, every 1 minute, every 5 minutes, 1, or specific date)
- Able to view more than 5,000 stars, moon and planets, the sun
- Able to view constellations, line drawings of constellations, high-orientation lines, stars in the Milky Way Galaxy (including large and small Magellanic Cloud) correspond to the ground scenery
- Usage of the multi-touch function to slide the map, zoom in by pinch, double-tap in the center to view the map by the rotation of the position sensor, change according to the current location (iPhone 3G GPS-enabled only)
- Supports both Japanese and English language
