Gmail : How to stop sending email that you’ll regret later

mail_goggles

There is something new from Gmail Lab. If you are the type of person that tends to rush things, and end up regretting things that you have done, then Mail Goggles is the right service for you.

When you enable Mail Goggles, it will check that you’re really sure you want to send out that email which you didn’t probably given much thought about it. And what better way to check than by making you solve a few simple math problems after you click send to verify you’re in the right state of mind?. Sounds crazy, but it just might work!!.

By default, Mail Goggles is only active late night on the weekend as that is the time you’re most likely to need it. (Google really knows me very well!!) Once enabled, you can adjust when it’s active in the General settings.

Nice option for keeping check on sending mails in hurry. There are many other new features in labs tab, but I haven’t yet tried any of them.

May be I’ll try this one first. Thanks for this excellent tip.

That’s funny that it’s only available late at night on the weekends. What I usually so is save emails as a draft while I am working on them – especially if they are really important. That keeps me from sending them immediately.

Where was that on the nights I over-indulged on red wine and ended up emailing my exes? :)
