If you would like to try some new ways to search for information on the net, then searchcube is one the search engines for you. searchcube is a graphical search engine that presents search results in a compact, visual format. It searches the World Wide Web for websites, videos and images and displays previews of each result on a unique, three-dimensional cube interface.

Basically, searchcube uses the Google AJAX Search API. Thus, search results are based on Google search results. It displays the first thirty-two (32) results for each of websites, videos and images. The maximum total number of results returned is ninety-six (96) results.

Once your search results appear, you can use the arrow keys, the SHIFT key and the mouse to interact with your searchcube.

searchcube requires that you have Javascript enabled and Flash Player version 9 or higher installed for your web browser. You can download Flash Player for free from the Adobe website.

The concept is cool because I have never seen something like this. It is not very user friendly and not all of the results are truly relevant to the search in hand. Always nice to see new concepts come out of the woodworks though.
