One feature that is definitely lacking for Firefox browser is the integration of BitTorrent Client. In comparison to browser like Opera, BitTorrent Client protocol is integrated in the Opera browser which means faster and more efficient downloads of large files. However now it is possible to add in BitTorrent Client to your Firefox browser with FireTorrent addon.

Now with the FireTorrent addon, downloading torrents becomes as easy as downloading any other file inside your browser, no BitTorrent client needed. The add-on is currently in Alpha testing, but already fully functional.

FireTorrent requires Firefox 3.0 or greater. Uploading has been capped at 15kB/s. Due to FireTorrent is still in the Alpha testing phase, all preferences panel has been disabled but will be added in next version.
