How to Drag and Drop attachments directly into Gmail, Flickr, Facebook etc

dragdropupload

DragDropUpload Firefox Add-on is an extension that lets fill an upload input of a form using the drag and drop service from the system. Instead of the normal clicking “browse” button and locating the file in your directories, now you can just drop the file into the input box and then send it.

DragDropUpload is tested and currently working with:

  • Flickr
  • CommuniGate Pro
  • Gmail (September 2008) Just drop the files over the blue area of the Gmail panel
  • FaceBook (September 2008)
  • Kerio WebMail (September 2008)
  • Salesforce

DragDropUpload works well with all version of Firefox browsers. [via]

FF is my primary browser, but you can do this with Safari, no extension required.

Any plans on getting this to work with Yahoo?
