Check your web site loading time for FREE

loadimpact

No doubt for a web site, the loading time is very important. If a web site takes quite a long time to load, this may drive away visitors to your site. Load Impact is an online load testing service that lets you stress test your web site with just a few mouse clicks.

With Load Impact, once you logon to the web frontend system, you may configure a test and start the test by pressing the start button. This places your test into a system-wide test queue in our master database. The test engine program regularly polls the database to see if there are any tests queued there for execution. It finds your test, removes it from the queue and launches a test engine subprocess to handle the test execution.

Once the test is finished, all live updates cease and only the test results remain on the page. These results stay in our database until you delete them, and can be viewed by you at any time. You can also export them as .csv files

There are four versions of Load Impact tests available : Free, Basic (USD 39/month), Professional (USD 199/month) and Advanced (USD 499/month). For the free version, you may run low load level test. Upon signup, Load Impact will store up to 5 test results.

It looks like the DoS attack. I think many servers are protected from denial of service hacks and therefore are protected from sites like this. I don’t know the technical side of their solution but maybe it’s not that easy to check loading time.

This seems like a good idea. I feel that testing the site yourself can be tiresome AND the results probably won’t be accurate.
