Microsoft’s WorldWide Telescope browser version is now available

Microsoft has launched the web client version of WorldWide Telescope, which is similar to Google Earth. In a nutshell, Microsoft WorldWide Telescope is a virtual telescope software that enables you to explore the universe with the help of interactive star charts and high resolution imagery from some of the best land and sky based telescopes.

Now you can access WorldWide Telescope from a web browser without downloading and installing the software. However, before you could start using WorldWide Telescope, you are required to download and install Microsoft’s Silverlight, which is similar to Adobe Flash.
