Malaysia is gaming to be the holder for having the longest LAN party in the Guinness Book of World Records. Starting from 12.01am, 10th April 2009, there will be around 300 young gamers, (aged 19 to 25) that will be playing video games non-stop at the Multimedia University in Cyberjaya until 2pm, 12th April 2009 by which time they would have played 38 hours.
This going to break the world record set in August last year in California, where 203 youngsters played video games non-stop for 36 hours.
This event is jointly organized by CyberFusion 2009 @ Cyberjaya (Cyberview Sdn Bhd) in partnership with Advanced Micro Devices Export Sdn Bhd.
The venue for this event is the Grand Hall of Multimedia University. For gamers, most of the actions are taking place right in the center of the hall, while bloggers and media representatives are giving a designated area for viewing.
There are many food stalls set up for this event. After all, it is going to be a 38 hours non stop gaming marathon. I am sure, everyone will be hungry.
Last but not least, all of those killings and shootings, I am sure someone needs one or two ambulances.
