Almost all of the blogs out there do offer RSS feed subscription for their readers. Besides offering blog updates via the RSS feed, there are several things that you can add to your RSS feed footer.
Stuff that you can add to your RSS footer are like:
- Copyright your feed : Add copyright notice to protect your feed
- Monetize your feed : You can add-in customized ads at the bottom of every blog post
- Direct URL link back to blog site : You may want to direct your RSS feed readers to your blog site
If your blog is based on WordPress engine, there are a variety of WordPress plugins out there that allow you to create a footer for your WordPress feed. Here are some of the WordPress plugins I found in the net.
1. RSS Footer
RSS Footer is a simple plugin that allows you to add an extra line of content to articles in your feed, defaulting to "Post from: " and then a link back to your blog, with your blog’s name as it’s anchor text. You can then also choose to position the sentence before your content instead of the default: after.
2. Feed Footer WordPress Plugin
Feed Footer WordPress plugin is a more complete plugin. It allows you to add in copyright notices, show and rotate ads, and finally you can add any HTML code to be shown in your RSS footers. The fun part is that you can spice up your footers with banners and images. You can make your text bold or italics or underlined.

nicee.. thanks! =)
Any idea how to get the title of the post to print in your RSS footer? I can’t seem to get it to work, and I don’t like the placement of the RSS Footer plugin.
I keep searching, but I haven’t found a workable solution yet.
Thanks!
