How to link your Twitter status updates to your Yahoo Messenger

Yahoo!_Messenger_twitter

Twitter is the most famous micro-blogging web service at the moment. With the introduction of Yahoo! Profile, you can now easily link your Twitter status updates to your Yahoo Messenger 9.

In fact, you can roughly link up to twenty networks outside of Yahoo e.g. Picasa Web Album, Smugmug, Last.fm, Zooomr, YouTube, Pandora, Stumbleupon, and many more. You can also track your whereabouts more thoroughly within Yahoo’s network, like the sports, movies, and shopping silos.

Here are steps to link your Twitter status to your Yahoo! Messenger 9:

Step 1 : Login to your Yahoo! Profile by using your Yahoo! username and password

Step 2 : Select "Updates" and select "Share More". Enter your twitter username. You can select other web 2.0 services from here too. Simply enter the relevant usernames.

Step 3 : Select "Manage My Updates". Make sure "Share My Updates" is ticked, and allow "Twitter (tweet)" to be viewable by "Anyone".

Step 4 : That is it!. You are done. Continue with your tweets, and the tweet updates will be shown in your Yahoo! Profile as well as your Yahoo! Messenger 9 status.

It is that simple. Give it a try. ;-)
