GDocBackup is a simple utility application that makes short work of downloading an offline copy of your Google Docs files. GDocBackup is an open source, freeware and licensed under the Apache License Version 2.0
To use, simply download the installer (GDocBackup_X.Y.Z_Setup.exe) and run it.
Usage:
- Run gdocbackup.exe
- ConfigForm appears (only the first time or if username or output folder are not configured)
- Set username, password and backup directory. The password is optional. If you choose to not store it, you will be asked to enter it when you start backup.
- Choose the export format for each type of document:
- Documents: doc, odt, rtf, txt, pdf
- Spreadsheets: xls, csv, ods, tsv, pdf
- Presentations: ppt, pdf
- Save configuration
- Click Exec Backup button
- GDocBackup exports all your documents from Google to your local hard disk
