Microsoft’s Bing search engine has introduced of a unique beta search and shopping tool called Visual Search. The Visual Search feature offers an alternative to lists of blue links that are often delivered by search engines.
Instead of displaying traditional lists of Web site search results, Bing’s Visual Search displays rows images of items that can be scrolled through via a slick interface.
To test, simply go to www.bing.com/visualsearch. However, you need to have Microsoft’s Silverlight to be installed to view the new visual search. Visual Search allows you to quickly scroll through the galleries or do a one-click refinement using the quick tabs on the left, which are specifically relevant to the type of results you are browsing through.
