Get Google AdSense PIN with minimum earnings of USD10

There is another update from Google AdSense. In the past, AdSense would ask you to verify your information when your earnings reached $50 by sending you a postcard with your Personal Identification Number (PIN). This allows AdSense to conduct a simple verification that is required in order to ensure the security and accuracy of your information so you can receive payments from AdSense.

However, AdSense has lowered the minimum earnings to $10. In another words, now it is possible for publishers to receive their PINs earlier instead of waiting for ages for their earnings to reach $50. For more information about these holds, visit the links in the ‘Required Actions’ box on your Payment History page.

I guess probably there are too many AdSense publishers out there that have not reached the threshold earnings of $50. Thus, this is a good time for AdSense to ask AdSense publishers to update their records. For more information of PIN, check out this help page.

Last year, there were plenty of improvements for blogger blogspot.Now with the new blogger blogspot, you are able to upload video, incorporate your photos with Picasa album, subscribe comments via email and many more. And with the introduction of widgets, there are many cool features that you can integrate into your blog. It is also fairly easy to add Google AdSense ads into your blog. Below is a simple example on how to show AdSense ads between your blogspot posts.

It takes three steps to add Google AdSense ads between your blogspot posts.

Step 1 : Login to your blogger account, click Layout and go to the Template tab.

Click on the edit button for Blog Posts. (refer to figure below)

Step 2 : Click and select the option for “Show Ads Between Posts”

Step 3 : Configure your inline ads by selecting the colors and format of your ads.

Once you are done, click “Save Changes”. Google AdSense ads will appear at the end of every post.

That’s all. Simple and easy.

With the acquisition of Feedburner by Google, publishers now have more choices to integrate AdSense ads not only in websites, blogs, forums, videos, etc but also in their Feedburner RSS feeds. Now any publisher who has a Google AdSense account may run AdSense ads on their site if they already participate in the FeedBurner Ad Network (FAN) or use our FeedFlare service to display interactive links below content on their sites. AdSense ads in 300×250 or 468×60 format will display below the first post on each page of your site that has our script code installed.

To activate the service:

Sign in to your FeedBurner account.
Click your feed’s title on My Feeds.
Visit the Monetize tab, where you can connect this service to your AdSense account (if you already have one), or create a new AdSense account (if you don’t).

After you configured the settings for your AdSense ad, simply paste the java script back to your blog and you are done. The AdSense ads will be shown automatically on your feeds by enabling the FeedFlare and at the same time on your website. So what are you waiting for?. Connect your account to AdSense on the Monetize tab and you’re ready to earn!. Happy earning!.

Looks like if you are living outside of the US and if you are thinking of making money by referring AdSense to your readers, this is going to change soon. Recent announcement from Inside AdSense blog. The gradual phase out will happen soon and before you know it, the Adsense Referral Button will no longer appear on your Adsense publisher account. However, I would like to point out that these Adsense Referral units refer to units that promote Adsense sign-ups and does not include other Referral products that pay out publishers.

If you’re outside of North America, Latin America, and Japan, AdSense referrals will be retired.
For publishers not located in any of the three regions detailed above, we’ll soon be retiring referrals promoting AdSense. We’ve found that this referral product has not performed as well as we had hoped in these regions. Again, please keep in mind that you can still generate referrals for the other products listed under the ‘Referrals’ section of your AdSense Setup tab.
Soon, you’ll no longer see the option to create a referral button for AdSense in your account, although existing buttons will display as normal. This specific referral type will then be retired during the last week of January – any users who meet the conversion criteria (reaching $100 in earnings within 180 days of sign-up and removing all payment holds) before the change will generate earnings of $250 for the referring publishers. Any conversions which occur after this change is made will not be recorded in your account. You may wish to begin replacing any existing referrals promoting AdSense with referrals for another product or an AdSense for content unit.

There are pricing structure change for publishers living in North America, Latin America and Japan. Specifically, the payout for referring a user who generates $100 with Adsense in the first 180 days will return to its previous rate of $100 from the current $250 which includes a $5 bonus.

I am not affected much these changes as AdSense referral program does not perform quite well for me. How about you?. Care to share with me your experience with AdSense referral program?.

For all you Google Publishers out there. Listen up!. Google AdSense has updated their Policies. According to AdSense Blog, all Google Publishers are required to comply with the spirit of our Page Quality Guidelines.

We’re now requiring AdSense publishers to comply with the spirit of our Page Quality Guidelines. If you’re an AdWords advertiser, you might already be familiar with these guidelines, which are intended to provide a better experience for users, advertisers, and publishers alike. If you use any kind of online advertising, know that these guidelines encourage publishers to, among other things, create sites with simple navigation and substantial, useful content.

This new policy requirement doesn’t mean that you can’t use online advertising; it simply means that if you do, you need to be sure that the way you advertise meets with the guidelines, whether it’s through AdWords or through any other advertising program. However you advertise your site, it can always benefit from significant and relevant content, clear navigation, and the other points in our quality guidelines.

Another interesting update is the ad placement for link unit ads. Google added the following update:

Now you can place up to three link units on a page

Yay!. This is definitely a good news. It means that publishers are not limited to just a single ad unit, they now can have up to three link unit ads, so you can now have link unit at your left bar, right bar, top bar, footer, header, and all over your site.

Google AdSense Publishers are not Google Employee

So if you are Google AdSense Publisher, then you are paying taxes, receiving your monthly AdSense incomes from Google, and all your particulars are registered with Google. So the question is whether you’re a Google Employee. This was an interesting question asked by someone at DigitalPoint forum.

Are we employed by Google?

Today I applied at Best-Buy and one of the fields in the application said: What technology related positions have you worked in recently?

I put Web-designer and electronic delivery guy but I was thinking about putting Google Publisher. Bet you anything related to “Google” would look nice.

Now we pay taxes, they have our name, our tax ID, and everything else. Are we employed by Google?

The answer is a big NO!. All Google AdSense publishers are not employed by Google. In fact, all Google AdSense publishers are independent contractors, and you have no right to claim you worked for Google as an employee on your resume or on a job application.

According to Google AdSense publisher’s Terms of Service (TOS):

The relationship between Google and You is not one of a legal partnership relationship, but is one of independent contractors.

But it would be cool to be Google AdSense employee, isn’t it

The basic of arbitrage is to take advantage of price differential between two or more markets. With a combination of matching deals are struck that allows arbitrageurs to capitalize upon the imbalance and gain profit from the difference between the market prices.

The same concept can be applied to Google AdSense publishers. For Google AdSense arbitrage publishers, they would use Google AdWords and other means to send traffic to their site, and at the same monetize that traffic with Google AdSense.

For example, if arbitrageurs paid $0.10 per click on AdWords and made $0.15 per click with AdSense, then at the end of the day, they still make $0.05 of profit. Simple concept.

However, recently numerous AdSense publishers have been receiving emails from Google stating that their use of their AdSense account is an unsuitable business model. Starting June 1st, this individual’s account as well as many many others will be terminated. They will however received all outstanding earnings that are due to them. These publishers are given about two weeks notice to prepare for the loss of the AdSense accounts.
